The Year of the Yin Wood Snake

I mentioned in another post that according to the Chinese Zodiac this is the year of the snake – and to be more specific – the Yin Wood Snake. During a session for myself this last week, I learned that means “unrelenting pressure for inner transformation” (thanks, Ed!).

Yikes.

Anyone else feeling that?

The good news is that means this year is going to bring some powerful shifts within us, bringing us to a happier, healthier, more balanced way of being in the world.

The challenging news is that, well, it’s likely going to be a bit challenging.

I went on Instagram the other day. Lately, that is a perilous journey in and of itself, but on this occasion something popped up that I’m finding helpful with all of this. Louise Hay was a self-help teacher and author. She founded the publishing house – Hay House – which publishes many of my favorite authors. Her personal journey was that she cured herself of breast cancer by working with her emotions and thoughts. A very impressive human.

So, back to the Instagram post. In it, she was being interviewed about what to do when difficult times show up. She said she always immediately affirms the following:

Everything is working out for my highest good.

Only good will come out of this situation.

I am safe.

Nice, huh?

I hope that helps you a bit if you are feeling the “unrelenting pressure” too.
